The Change Meter pulldown under Time Operations gives you a second way to alter the click note value without changing the tempo. It also displays a visual reference via a flashing light on the plug-in's interface. The Click II plug-in offers new ways to alter the click using the Follow Meter function, handy ways to alter the note value from a whole note to a sixteenth note. The latest version of the stock click track that comes with every Pro Tools system is greatly enhanced over the original. Whether you're recording your click on each take or not, you can use one of two simple ways to jump from a 1/4 note to an 1/8 note using the Click II plug-in or Time Operations window in Pro Tools. Your first thought may be to double the session's tempo, but that will destructively move your markers in relation to the timeline. ![]() If you right click on the transport bar you can enable midi controls: If you then double click on the metronome icon this window will appear: Here you can change the behaviour of the metronome Tempo tap.
